Well-being Officer

Allison Hunter

I am Allison Hunter, a first-year student living in Hollis South and native to Atlanta, GA. I plan on concentrating on Government and African American Studies, with a secondary in Education. I am running for the HUA Well-Being Officer for the 2023- 2024 year. I am an FGLI student and a Generational African American woman. If elected, I will prioritize fighting for mental well-being resources, changing the LOA policies to be more inclusive, and creating more alternatives to Harvard-provided therapy.

I also want to prioritize providing confidential workshops and partnering with the wellness center to have access to wellness resources such as massages, yoga, music-filled workout boot camps, and support animals.

As a first-year, I have seen the shortcomings of Harvard's mental health services first-hand, and I am dedicated to ensuring that you don’t feel like a liability for being human.

In this case, hope deferred becomes hope actualized fully.
